Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky Launch Skin Health Research Firm

Lady Gaga and her fiancé Michael Polansky announced Outer Bio, a skin health research company founded in 2026. The company uses machine learning paired with full-thickness human skin that remains viable for weeks. Its research focuses on chronic inflammation, aging-related tissue remodeling, and environmental stress, modeling skin tissue dysfunctions. Outer Bio’s innovative platform, YUNA, integrates living human skin, automated in vitro screening, and biomedical AI to identify new molecules and mechanisms for skin health. Gaga serves on the Board of Directors alongside Polansky, who is also CEO, and Sara Choi. Gaga’s involvement was first highlighted in a November 2025 Rolling Stone cover story, where Polansky stated, 'It was her idea. She’s officially on the board, but her name was kept out until now. The attention Stefani’s involvement would bring wasn’t necessary—it’s not consumer-facing. ... When she talks about us being partners, it looks like it all goes one direction, but she’s the most incredible support to me.'
