Anzac Day was commemorated in London with the Princess Royal attending a dawn ceremony at Wellington Arch in Hyde Park Corner. Organised by the New Zealand and Australian High Commissions, the Princess Royal arrived shortly before the service at 5am. During the ceremony, she laid a wreath at Wellington Arch, which included a reading of the poem *In Flanders Fields* by John McCrae and concluded with the national anthems of the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia. Services were also held across New Zealand, Australia, and Gallipoli on Saturday morning. Additionally, the occasion was marked in Villers-Bretonneux, a village in the Somme region of France, where Australian units defended during the First World War. A post from the Royal Family’s X account noted that Anzac Day honours members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.
