Priyanka Chopra is all set to feature in ‘Varanasi,’ one of India’s biggest and most expensive films. As she prepares for its release, the actress opened up in her latest interview about her upcoming projects, including her international ventures. While she is expected to soon start working with Orlando Bloom, she also teased a new project on the horizon. Priyanka Chopra Reveals Collaborating With Angelina Jolie In an interaction with Fortune India, Chopra revealed that she will be collaborating with Angelina Jolie on a future endeavour. However, she refrained from sharing specifics, saying, “I will be working with Angelina Jolie on a project.” She stopped short of clarifying whether it will be a film, an advertising campaign, or a philanthropic initiative. PC About Varanasi Priyanka also named Jolie among a group of women in Hollywood she finds particularly ‘inspiring’. Alongside the Oscar-winning star, she mentioned Penélope Cruz and Salma Hayek as fellow actors and friends whose careers she admires. Currently, Priyanka is filming the final schedules of SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi. She described as “one of the most ambitious undertakings of her career.” She added, “What we are trying to do is something so ambitious and of a scale not seen for a very long time. I am very privileged and excited not just for India but also the world, because this will be a massive global release and people will be exposed to what we have been working on for the past three years.” Priyanka On Her Hyderabad Shoot Talking about life on the Hyderabad set, she shared, “Shooting on the sets of ‘Varanasi’ is furious and funny. The families of all the actors are around. It is fun, we’re laughing, watching IPL matches, but there is also immense focus, rehearsals, and focus-driven work.” Reflecting on her career growth, Chopra acknowledged the greater creative control she now enjoys. She said, “ When I started, scripts were not customised for me. My husband Nick (Jonas) recently said (quoting singer Beyoncé) that ‘You are on the other side of your sacrifice’.” She further added, “I can now pick and choose and create my own projects.” On the international front, Chopra is also associated with filmmaker Mira Nair’s biographical drama ‘Amri’.
