PSG: festivities at Champ-de-Mars maintained despite 416 arrests

After PSG’s coronation against Arsenal, the celebrations gave rise to several incidents on the sidelines of the gatherings. According to the authorities, 416 people were arrested throughout France, including 283 within the perimeter of the Paris police headquarters. Seven police officers were also injured during the evening, including one more seriously. Despite these excesses, the Minister of the Interior assured that “there will be no questioning” of the festivities planned for tomorrow on the Champ-de-Mars. On the Champs-Élysées, where nearly 20,000 supporters gathered at the height of the evening, the situation gradually returned to calm during the night.
