Selena Gomez is a fan of takeout food, particularly Jack in the Box burgers and tacos © Getty Images Selena Gomez is just like us when it comes to her food cravings, as her husband, Benny Blanco, revealed to Gwyneth Paltrow at a Goop Podcast live show. Benny told the Goop founder that Selena "has the diet of a five-year-old child", and that she liked to eat "whatever is bad for your diet". "This morning I walked in, and she was eating Jack in the Box at 6:45 in the morning," he added, referring to the food chain. © Instagram Benny shared that Selena was a big fan of takeout The music producer shared that his wife "doesn't really like fruits or vegetables," but that she loves to eat food from Goop Kitchen, Gwyneth's health-focused takeout meal company. However, Selena always leaves the lettuce for Benny when she gets a Goop salad bowl, and eats "everything on top of the salad" instead. "This is NOT Goop approved!" Gwyneth joked. © Getty Images Comfort food fan Benny previously revealed that Selena was a big fan of comfort food due to her Texan roots. "If I hit her with the steak night, I'm getting love – that's all I need to do. She loves a good steak; she wants the steak, she wants the potatoes, she wants the creamed spinach," he told The Kitch n. "She's a big fan of fried chicken and French toast. She knows the good [expletive]. She always knows where to go – her nose always goes to the best recipes. She's from Texas, so comfort food is big for her." © YouTube Culinary queen Selena has been working on her culinary skills in recent years, particularly after her cooking series, Selena + Chef, proved to be a huge hit. "Season one, I was a complete disaster, and not to say I still don't have my moments, but I've come a long way," she told Peopl e in 2022. "I wish I had more time to cook, but with work it's not always easy," she added. "I love when I get the chance to cook for my friends and family." © Instagram Health nut Meanwhile, Gwyneth has long been health-conscious and was on a strict Paleo diet for many years, where she avoided bread, pasta and cheese. The mother of two then shared on her Goop Podcast that she had chosen to reintroduce those foods into her diet after being "sick" of restricting herself. "I went into hardcore macrobiotic for a certain time, that was an interesting chapter where I got obsessed with eating very, very healthily," she said. © Instagram Changing it up "I really deepened my connection with food and the whole philosophy around macrobiotics, which is essentially just how they eat in the mountains of Japan, so very local and seasonal. Lots of fish, vegetables, rice, no dairy, no sugar, etc. I think that period of time, I might have got a little didactical about it." "There I said it," she added. "A little pasta after being strict with it for so long. But again I think it's a good template, eating foods that are as whole and fresh as possible. I don't think there are any doctors or nutritionists that would refute that."
