Universal Pictures has dropped a new trailer for its upcoming The Odyssey adaptation from director Christopher Nolan. The trailer was unveiled on Monday night’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The pic stars Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Mia Goth, Benny Safdie, Jon Bernthal and John Leguizamo. In the trailer we see a much broader scope of Nolan’s adaptation of the Homer novel featuring our first look of Theron as Circe as well as the first look of the iconic Cyclops character. Nolan wrote the screenplay based on the ancient poem and produced it alongside Emma Thomas under their production company Syncopy. Universal Pictures is distributing the film. The epic from the Oscar-winning Oppenheimer filmmaker Nolan was shot using new Imax technology and comes out on July 17, 2026 in theaters.
