You and I Are Polar Opposites Season 2 Reveals New Trailer, Ending Theme

Another trailer for You and I Are Polar Opposites Season 2 has been released. Like the previous trailer, there’s a slight emphasis on Yamada x Nishi and Taira x Azuma, as well as a preview of the newly announced ending song “You are the one” by Mega Shinnosuke. You and I Are Polar Opposites’ first season began airing on January 11, while Season 2 will debut on July 5 at 5 PM JST. The anime is based on the manga by Kocha Agasawa and follows the newly established romantic relationship between the energetic Suzuki and the subdued Tani, as well as the relationships between some of their friends and acquaintances. The show is directed by Takayoshi Nagatomo (SHOSHIMIN Episode 3 and 8 storyboarder and director et al.) at Lapin Track. Sayumi Suzushiro and Shogo Sakata star as Suzuki and Tani, respectively, while the other cast members include Anji Iwata as Yamada, Miyuri Shimabukuro as Azuma, Wataru Kato as Taira, and Cocoro Omori as Nishi. The You and I Are Polar Opposites manga debuted on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ in May 2022 and ended in November 2024, on the same day as the anime’s announcement. Manga Plus describes the synopsis as such: Suzuki, an energetic girl who can’t help but follow the crowd, finds herself drawn to Tani, a quiet boy who can easily speak his mind. Enter: the serialization of a hit one-shot! A story for anyone who wants to enjoy love! This down-to-earth, relatable rom-com is ready to pull at your heartstrings!
