'Adipurush' writer Manoj Muntashir acknowledges the film's failure, stating there is no shame in admitting it did not meet expectations. He urges fans and critics to avoid comparing it to Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming 'Ramayana'. Muntashir praises actor Yash for his portrayal of Ravana in 'Ramayana', expressing best wishes for the project. He also notes that while 'Adipurush’ faced criticism for its dialogues and box-office performance, its music remains popular. Directed by Om Raut, 'Adipurush' starred Prabhas as Rama, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana, with a budget of Rs 550 crore. Despite opening well, it became Bollywood’s biggest box-office bomb, falling short by over Rs 200 crore. Meanwhile, 'Ramayana' (Part 1), directed by Nitesh Tiwari, features Yash as Ravana, Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, and music by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman. The film is set for release during Diwali 2026, with Part 2 expected in 2027.
