Megastar Amitabh Bachchan recently recounted how approximately 2,000 Italians in Bologna watched the restored version of his iconic 1975 film Sholay from 11 PM until 3 AM. During an interaction with Dr Ganesh Baraiya on *Kaun Banega Crorepati* Season 18, Bachchan explained that the restored print was taken to Italy by the Film Heritage Foundation, led by filmmaker Shivendra Singh Dungarpur. He recalled, ‘They took the film in good condition to Film Heritage, where Shivendra Singh ji was overseeing the project. They brought it to Bologna, where 2,000 Italians watched it from 11 PM until 3 AM.’ Sholay, released in 1975, is one of Hindi cinema’s most popular films, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, and others. The Film Heritage Foundation restored it as part of efforts to preserve significant Indian cinema.
