Yash’s ‘Toxic’ sells 6.46 lakh tickets ahead of release, still behind ‘KGF 2’ pre-sales

Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has recorded a strong response ahead of its theatrical release, collecting more than Rs 30 crore in gross advance bookings, according to trade tracker Sacnilk. The film has sold around 6.46 lakh tickets through advance bookings, underlining anticipation around Yash’s return to theatres nearly four years after KGF: Chapter 2. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is scheduled for release on August 26, 2026. Despite strong pre-release numbers, Toxic is still behind Yash’s previous blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2 in advance sales, reportedly registering around Rs 60 crore in advance bookings. The film stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth alongside Yash. The period gangster action film has received an A certificate with minimal cuts. Karnataka emerged as one of the strongest markets for pre-release bookings. A promotional event in Hyderabad recently saw four people injured after a sound setup collapse. Toxic aims to build a new franchise-scale opening around Yash and a large ensemble cast.
