Salman Khan to begin Raj and DK superhero film in January 2027 after 'SVC63' and 'Bigg Boss 20' - Report

Salman Khan and Raj & DK are collaborating on a superhero film, their first project together. The film, titled 'The Last Hero', is a big-budget production backed by Atul Agnihotri and Mythri Movie Makers. It follows a weary, aging crime-fighter reluctantly returning to action for a final battle, diverging from Salman Khan’s typical larger-than-life heroics. Filming is expected to start in October 2026 after extensive pre-visualization, following his ongoing commitments on 'Monster' (Eid 2027 release) and 'Bigg Boss 20'. The project involves talks with Weta FX for global-scale visual effects. Raj & DK, known for franchises like *Family Man* and *Farzi*, are returning to the big screen after a decade, with their last film, *A Gentleman*, released in 2017. Salman Khan is also balancing shooting *Monster* alongside Nayanthara, with Parvez Kazi, his body double, recovering from a health scare during the Mumbai shoot. Additional safety measures have been implemented for Kazi’s return to the set.
