Angel Reese (5) and Allisha Gray (15) react in the second half of an Atlanta Dream WNBA game on August 16, 2026. Reese broke the WNBA record for most rebounds in a single game with 26, surpassing Chamique Holdsclaw’s previous record of 24. This achievement also set a new single-season record for her, with 458 rebounds on the season—seven more than A’ja Wilson’s previous mark from 2024. Reese secured her 27th double-double of the season with 11 points in the final minutes of the game. She commented, "Last time I was here, I didn’t miss any shots. Tonight I couldn’t hit anything, so I knew I’d be able to get them on the rebounding side." Reese also led the league in rebounding her first two seasons and is leading again this season at 12.0 per game. She set a rookie record with 13.1 rebounds per game in 2024 and has maintained her dominance with 15 straight double-doubles. Allisha Gray praised Reese’s performance, calling her talent "a talent."
