Barry Manilow’s concert in Lexington, Kentucky, was postponed just as the doors of Rupp Arena were scheduled to open. The announcement shared on the singer’s social media read: 'Due to unforeseen circumstances, tonight’s show in Lexington has been rescheduled.' An exact reason was not provided. The venue confirmed that all previously purchased tickets would be honored at the new date once announced. According to local NBC affiliate Lex News, this was the second postponement for Manilow in Lexington, after he had previously rescheduled his March 9 performance due to ongoing recovery from lung cancer. Manilow was set to perform in Cincinnati on Wednesday. He had announced in December that he would undergo surgery to remove a cancerous spot on his lung, initially scheduled for his 2026 farewell tour kickoff in January. Subsequent postponements included his Vegas residency and the Northwest U.S. leg of his tour, originally planned for April and May. Despite these delays, Manilow has been declared cancer-free and released his first new album in nearly 15 years, *What a Time*. In an interview with Rolling Stone UK, he reflected on his health journey and career, stating he wanted to make people feel better during his performances.
