This weekend, Dre shared his honest opinion on AI in music, stating it was not a threat but another tool. Speaking to Jimmy Iovine for the New York Times, he explained that those who oppose AI are often those who struggle with creativity. He likened AI to the drum machine, saying, 'It’s a new tool for creativity. Some people are afraid of learning new things.' AI’s role in music remains controversial, with a recent study indicating that nearly 40% of music released globally contains AI elements, and over 23% of songs are fully AI-generated.
