Fans line up for chance to buy LeBron James 76ers jerseys at special team store opening

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Hundreds of fans lined up outside Xfinity Mobile Arena for a two-day offseason event to buy exclusive LeBron James and Jaylen Brown Philadelphia 76ers jerseys. Demand was high, with many hoping to secure jerseys before supplies ran out. Steve Bellis of Audubon and Joseph Welcome of North Philadelphia were among those who arrived early, with Welcome becoming the first customer inside. Inside the store, blue Nike and Fanatics jerseys were available, with Welcome purchasing a $139 jersey. Victoria Isley, vice president of partnership solutions for the Philadelphia 76ers, explained the event was unusual for the offseason, aiming to capitalize on fan excitement. About 200 LeBron jerseys were sold in the first hour. Fans also purchased jerseys for family members unable to attend, such as Mina Fader’s son in London. The Zorzi family of Williamstown, New Jersey, also secured jerseys for their children, including one for Joel Embiid and another for Ben Simmons. The store will reopen Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for remaining fans.
