Foo Fighters Rock Hollywood Bowl Debut as Gustavo Dudamel Says Goodbye to L.A. Philharmonic

Dave Grohl appeared unsure whether anything could ever be this good again as he took the stage for a Foo Fighters concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday. The band performed at the historic venue for the first time, with the Los Angeles Philharmonic accompanying them. Gustavo Dudamel, departing conductor of the L.A. Philharmonic, led the orchestra during the farewell weekend performance. Grohl told the crowd, "Tonight, we’re going to play as many things as we can before we have to stop." The 15-song set included deep cuts like "Razor" and "Home", which had not been performed live since 2006 and 2007, respectively. The band also performed staples such as "Times Like These" and "Best of You." Dudamel, who has led the L.A. Phil since 2009, joked about the orchestra's future plans. Grohl dedicated the performance of "Aurora" to late drummer Taylor Hawkins, saying, "He would have loved this." The concert concluded with the band’s signature hit "Everlong", accompanied by a fireworks show. Grohl expressed gratitude for the experience, calling it an honor to perform at the Hollywood Bowl with Dudamel before he leaves Los Angeles.
