Harrison Ford, the legendary actor known for playing Indiana Jones, is returning to the role for a new Disney attraction. The project, titled Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, will feature an animatronic version of Indy at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom theme park. This new attraction is being built on Dinoland U.S.A., which closed in 2025. The announcement was made by Ford during a video at Disney’s D23 convention in Anaheim, California. Ford revealed that he is the actual model for the animatronic, including the fear of snakes. The opening date for the attraction has not been specified, though it is expected to be soon. The project is part of a broader effort to revive the Indiana Jones franchise, which previously included films like Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Temple of Doom (1984), Last Crusade (1989), Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008), and Dial of Destiny (2023). The attraction will not be based on any of the recent films but will instead be a standalone experience inspired by the original trilogy.
