'Jana Nayagan' sees significant drop; total gross crosses ₹305cr

Jana Nayagan, Thalapathy Vijay's latest film, has experienced a notable decline in box office collections on its 14th day. The action drama earned ₹1.8 crore in India, marking a 14.3% drop from ₹2.1 crore the previous day. Despite this decline, the film continues to perform well overall, with 3,980 shows across India on Wednesday alone. The film has surpassed several milestones during its theatrical run. The India net collection now stands at ₹183.35 crore, and the India gross collection is ₹213.81 crore. The Tamil version contributed ₹1.6 crore, while the Hindi and Telugu versions added ₹18 lakh and ₹2 lakh, respectively. Globally, Jana Nayagan added ₹50 lakh to its international earnings, bringing the overseas gross collection to ₹92.5 crore, with a worldwide total of ₹306.31 crore. The Tamil version recorded an occupancy rate of 17.13% on Wednesday, peaking at 19.31% during evening shows. The Hindi version had a lower occupancy rate of 11.13%. Directed by H Vinoth, the film stars Vijay alongside Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Narain. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Originally scheduled for January release, it was delayed due to certification and leaks, finally hitting theaters in July.
