The project marks the biggest debut by a girl group this decade. Katseye is smashing records with the debut of their third EP, Wild, at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. This marks their first release to top the chart and makes them the first global girl group of its generation to achieve this milestone. With 170,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending August 20th, Wild is the decade’s biggest debut by a girl group on the chart and the biggest U.S. debut by a girl group in 18 years, since Danity Kane’s Welcome to the Dollhouse. The opening sales are more than triple those of their 2025 EP Beautiful Chaos, which earned 44,000 units. Released via Hybe x Geffen Records, Wild includes Billboard Hot 100 hits 'Pinky Up' and 'Animal.' Simultaneously, the Grammy-nominated group scored at the box office with the film Katseye: Wild Hearts, which grossed nearly $8 million globally in its first weekend, including over $4 million in North America. The tour, The WildWorld Tour, kicks off at Dublin’s 3Arena on September 1st, with sold-out dates in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Mexico City. Katseye also headlined festivals like Hinterland and Head In The Clouds, and performed at Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival. Additionally, they launched a Target-exclusive collection with ESCO collectible cards and Kuromi x Katseye capsule items.
