An original anime series based on the iconic video game series 'Kingdom Hearts' has been greenlit for Disney Channel and Disney+. This new series reimagines the adventure with a fresh story, expanding the 'Kingdom Hearts' universe while honoring beloved characters. The project is developed in partnership with Square Enix, led by creative director Tetsuya Nomura. The series will debut on Disney+ and Disney Channel, with the fourth game in the series set for release in late 2027 and featuring a world inspired by Pixar’s 'Coco'. Actor Benjamin Bratt will voice Ernesto de la Cruz in the game.
