Met Éireann issues warning of potential flash floods in some areas

Overnight conditions will be blustery, with heavy rain likely near coasts and on higher ground. Given dry ground conditions, the rain could lead to flash flooding, causing difficult travel and potential disruptions to outdoor events. The yellow warning remains in effect until 2pm on Wednesday, with persistent rain spells, especially in the north and northeast. Munster and south Leinster will experience the driest conditions with sunny spells. By Wednesday night, rain will ease and clear eastward, though cloudy conditions may persist in some northern areas. Temperatures will range from 9 to 13°C at night, with daytime highs from 14°C in the northwest to 21°C in the southeast. Winds will be westerly, easing to light to moderate. Thursday and Friday will see fresher conditions with scattered showers, while the weekend will be more unsettled, with rain expected Friday night and Saturday, followed by a brighter Sunday with sunshine and scattered showers.
