The Finnish Defence Forces (FDF) temporarily restricted air and maritime traffic in the eastern Gulf of Finland on Tuesday as a precautionary measure to safeguard civilians in case drones needed interception. The restrictions began at 5.26am and maritime restrictions followed at 5.40am. They were lifted at 7.13am. No drones entered Finnish airspace or territory. These measures were linked to recent Ukrainian drone attacks targeting Russia, specifically in the St Petersburg region, as reported by the Kyiv Independent. Yle News' All Points North podcast has discussed drone threats and Finland's civil preparedness.
