Olivia Rodrigo has officially released her new song, **Serena Joy**, on streaming services. On Monday, the artist announced the track is now available for download, with a portion of net proceeds going to her **Daisy Chain Fields Fund**, which supports nonprofits like Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, and the Center for Reproductive Rights. Olivia captioned an Instagram post with a surprise announcement: *“Surprise!!!”* alongside lyrics. *“Serena Joy* is out on streaming platforms now. A portion of all net proceeds goes to the Daisy Chain Fields Fund. I love this song so much!!!!” Last week, the owners of the Analog Record Shop in Orange County, California revealed Olivia had given them 500 CD units of the song ahead of her upcoming **Daisy Chain Fields festival**. They commented, *“More than anything, we're grateful for what this represents: An artist building a stage for women in music and raising funds for women and girls. An artist willing to support a local independent record store. And a hometown getting to be part of something really special. That means a lot to us.”* The song is named after **Serena Joy**, a character from Margaret Atwood’s 1985 novel *The Handmaid’s Tale*. Olivia previously told *Etalk* that she decided against including *Serena Joy* in her third studio album, *You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love*, because *“it didn’t fit on the album.”* The record was a chronicle of a relationship—beginning, middle, and end—but she hopes it will appear in future projects. The **Daisy Chain Fields festival** will take place at **Great Park in Irvine, California**, on Saturday. Other artists signed up to perform include Chappell Roan, Doechii, Katseye, Mitski, the Breeders, Die Spitz, Bikini Kill, Garbage, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, Santigold, and Not for Radio. Special guests will include Karen O, Stevie Nicks, and Sarah McLachlan, founder of Lilith Fair.
