Sydney radio host Emma Chow has been brought to tears live on air as she revealed she was ‘trying to save my husband’s life’. The 41-year-old host of 2DayFM’s breakfast show shared the emotional update on Thursday morning. Enzo Lisbona urgently needs a kidney transplant due to chronic kidney disease. Chow said, ‘Enzo has chronic kidney disease and he needs a live donor transplant. Hopefully, that donor will be me.’ The couple, married for 11 years, have been undergoing tests for months and are now waiting to determine if she can be his donor. Chow expressed relief that she might finally be able to help after years of feeling helpless. She also mentioned preparing for the possibility she might not be a match, while ensuring her husband feels supported. She described her daily efforts: attending appointments, keeping things calm at home, cooking comfort meals, and spending quality time with their two young sons, Valentino and Raphael. She admitted it had been challenging, but she kept reminding herself of why this was important: ‘It’s so Enzo can live a long, healthy life and watch our boys grow up.’ Chow shared her experience to offer comfort to others facing similar struggles, emphasizing the difficulty of balancing personal challenges with daily responsibilities. Enzo Lisbona expressed gratitude on Instagram, writing, ‘Count my lucky stars every day to have you.’
