Rare Banksy vinyl art up for sale in Chippenham

Rare vinyl featuring Banksy art up for auction in Chippenham. Daisy Bodkin and John Darvall from BBC Radio Bristol report that a special vinyl edition of Melody A.M., a 2001 album by Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp, is expected to fetch up to £4,000. This is one of just 100 original Banksy album covers ever created. In 2002, Röyksopp sent the Bristol artist 100 blank record sleeves, which Banksy custom-designed and spray-painted. The cover features the duo's name in a standard green stencil, resembling pixelated treetops. The debut album peaked at number 9 in the UK albums chart. Auctioneer and vinyl specialist Martin Hughes noted the vinyl's rarity and strong interest from both modern art and vinyl collectors, including strong interest from the US. He hopes the buyer will be from Bristol.
