Rashmika Mandanna steals the show at an engagement in gorgeous velvet anarkali; Vijay Deverakonda goes all-black

Rashmika Mandanna has stepped out again, and her first public appearance after her recent hip injury came with a rather stylish plus-one—Vijay Deverakonda. The two attended producer Niranjan Reddy's son's engagement in Hyderabad and arrived together, holding hands as they made their way inside. Naturally, their appearance got plenty of attention, but it was Rashmika's first outing since her injury that had people especially curious. She reportedly suffered the injury while shooting for her upcoming film Mysaa. For the engagement, both kept things traditional, but in very different ways. Rashmika's velvet anarkali was all about the details. She looked lovely in a wine-and-bottle-green anarkali from designer Sureena Chowdhri's label. The fitted bodice came with gold embroidery, a plunging V-neck, and half sleeves. From the waist, the velvet skirt fell freely, with the wine and green tones coming together in a rich yet understated way. A heavily embroidered gold border ran along the hem, adding sparkle. She paired it with a deep-green velvet dupatta, casually draped over one shoulder, featuring gold patti work, tiny tassels, and delicate floral embroidery. For jewellery, Rashmika kept things simple with a diamond choker and matching bracelet. Her beauty look was effortless: loose hair with a centre parting, dewy base, feathered brows, mascara, and a glossy pink lip. Vijay went in a completely different direction, choosing an all-black bandhgala for the evening. His jacket had ornate buttons and a neat, tailored fit, paired with tapered black trousers, dress shoes, and a matching pocket square. His hair was swept back, and his handlebar moustache was very much part of the look. The two looks complemented each other—Rashmika in her colourful velvet anarkali and Vijay in his classic black ensemble. Beyond fashion, this appearance marked a small but notable return for Rashmika. After her recent injury kept her away from the spotlight, she looked comfortable and at ease as she stepped out for the family celebration.
