The incident occurred in May this year in the Mandurah suburb of Greenfields. Barrientos was listed in Mandurah Magistrates Court today for legal advice over the matter. He will be sentenced on August 21 for two counts of assault after he was found guilty of biting a 20-year-old woman he had sex with after a gig in Hillarys in 2024. He was also charged with raping her but was acquitted of some of those charges on Friday, while the jury could not reach a verdict on others. Whether he will be retried on those remaining charges is currently being discussed by the Department of Prosecutions. The Department of Communities said there were three educators and a supervisor on staff at Goodstart Early Learning in Atwell on the day of the incident, along with 49 children. One of the children had a serious medical condition that needed monitoring and management, and as part of their routine, one employee sat them down and gave them a snack before lunch. The educators then supervised the other children, prepared lunch, and got them ready for rest time before returning to the child to administer the medication.
