SUPER JUNIOR-M’s Zhoumi has been named the CEO of STE, a joint venture between SM Entertainment and Tencent Music Entertainment Group in Beijing, China. This venture was established on August 27, following a memorandum of understanding signed in May 2023. STE aims to develop a new Chinese idol group, with a debut planned within two to three years, overseeing casting, auditions, and local management post-debut. Beyond this, STE will manage SM artists' activities in China, including local promotions for NCT DREAM member Renjun and WayV members YangYang and Xiaojun. Zhoumi expressed enthusiasm for the role, highlighting the collaboration between SM’s IP and content strengths and Tencent’s market characteristics to create differentiated content and meaningful results.
